The government requested the Greater Sydney Commission to review Pyrmont’s planning controls and comments are due by the end of the month. The area under review includes Pyrmont and part of Ultimo to Broadway, the Fish Market, Darling Harbour and the Goods Line and Wentworth Park.

This is already one of Australia’s most densely populated areas and I’m very concerned about proposals to further increase density, particularly without proper infrastructure, or new public open green space, or any changes to the social and affordable housing ratio. The process is unclear; with no information about what happens after the review.
