Religious Discrimination 3.0

The third version of federal Religious Discrimination bills gives unprecedented rights linked to religious “statements of belief”.

The bills would override federal, state and territory anti-discrimination laws, giving licence to discriminate against vulnerable groups like people with disability, sole parents, LGBTIQ+ people, women and unmarried couples.

Those who work for or rely on services provided by faith-based organisations would lose protections. Professional bodies may not be able to enforce inclusion and access standards.
