The Legislative Assembly unanimously supported my motion calling for asylum seekers and refugees to be treated with respect and dignity, declaring that seeking asylum is a human right. Parliament has reflected the views of various communities across NSW who welcome and celebrate the contribution of all immigrants, including those who have sought asylum and arrived as refugees.
