Last week in parliament a government member brought on debate about supporting families in this state. 

Debate covered mainly the cost of living which is a concern for families and people across the state, including in the inner city. My contribution focussed on the importance of inclusive family policies. Families come in many forms including rainbow families and families with transgender and gender diverse kids or parents and we need to support them all. In response, the government speaker acknowledged the importance of inclusive policies.
