Voluntary Assisted Dying

Voluntary Assisted Dying

There is massive community support for reform, which at its heart is about compassion and autonomy for people who are at the end of their life and who are suffering.

Sunday Telegraph and The Sydney Morning Herald editorials have reinforced that this support means voluntary assisted dying should be debated in the NSW Parliament: > HERE.

My bill has been informed by the processes and provisions in all other states and includes the strongest protections against coercion and misuse. Like Queensland and South Australia, the bill will enshrine a religious institution’s right not to provide voluntary assisted dying services onsite while including protections to ensure patients and residents can get external access.

I hope that the Parliament vote will represent the community position of overwhelming support. If you would like to join the campaign, sign the Dying With Dignity petition: > HERE.

Let's work together to celebrate and protect our great city!
