The upper house got through 13 speeches on my Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill last week. This is a good start, but hardly the urgency required to give the many dying people who face intolerable suffering and want peace of mind of alternative options.

I will continue to put pressure on the government and the house to make more time for this important matter.
